To remove fan, loosen the three captive screws on the back of the base cover Remove the six screws and pry the cover off the system. Identify the system fan and disconnect the cables. Remove the three screws and lift the fan out of the system.
To reinstall the fan, place it back in the system and tighten the three screws. Reconnect the cables. Place the base cover back on the system and secure it with the nine total screws. For more information about your Dell system, visit: Dell.com/Support.
