To replace the hard drive back plane of a power scale F 900. Follow these steps before you begin. Please remember to power off and unplug the system and always wear ESD protection when working inside the system begin removing all the hard drives by pushing the release button and pulling out the hard drive by its pull down handle.
Repeat this step for all the hard drives after the top cover is removed, release the fan assembly by lifting these blue handles and raise it from the system slide and left the metal shroud to remove carefully, disconnect the sass cables from the hard drive back plane, release the back plane by pushing the two blue release buttons and lifting forward, remove the cables attached to the back plane and remove from the unit realign the new back plane and reattach the cables push back into place until the blue buttons click tidy any wires and reattach the SAS cables.
The fan assembly can now be returned to the system or into place and lock using the blue levers. Now return the shroud and the top cover. Once this is complete, you can now return the hard drives.
