The first thing to do is to verify if Microsoft office is activated within Windows. 10, click on the start menu and go into settings, select update and security and then select activation.
Here is where you can check if Windows 10 is activated. Next select windows update from the options. Click on check for updates and install any available updates. If you're having issues with the windows update, run the windows update, troubleshooter, select troubleshoot from the updated security options.
Click on windows update and then on run the troubleshooter. Allow the troubleshooter to identify and attempt to fix any issues afterwards. Try running windows update again. If Microsoft office is not activated, follow these steps to activate it. When you start an office app that's not activated, you'll be prompted to sign into office, sign in with your Microsoft account.
If you don't have one, you can create one type your email and password and follow the onscreen prompts. Click on activate office when a web browser appears sign in with your Microsoft account and follow the onscreen prompts complete the three steps and click on next and then click on refresh once office is ready, open a new document and accept the license agreement.
