Export tool options with Dell repository manager. Once you've created a repository and gathered the update packages that are relevant to your environment, you want to package them up into a tool that you can use for deployment. So it's as simple as selecting your repository or if you only want to make a tool out of a selected bundle in a repository, you can select just that bundle as well, go to export and you can see the different options that are available.
Share will create a custom catalog and also download all the they'll update packages to the location that you specify. And this is usable with other Dell tools such as open manage enterprise, our integrations with vmware, vcenter or Microsoft System Center or with it track. If you prefer to uh use scripting to deploy your updates, we have a smart uh deployment pack available that that allows that has a default script in it that will deploy the updates.
Uh You just select if you wanted use Windows or Linux and then if you're OK with the default then and uh go with that. If not, uh we do have the easy option for you to replace the default script with, with one that you have customized to exactly what it is that, that you're interested in uh SUU or server update utility. Uh is a small little gooey based uh deployment tool and you can take that con content, make a SUU just again browse to the location where you want it to save and hit export.
And if you prefer to work with boot ISOS, uh we do have the smart boot ISO and the smart boot ISO is different than the platform boot iso that the platform boot iso by default has all the firmware packages for a given platform. Smart boot ISO is used with a repository. So you can customize exactly which firmware packages or applications that that you want included with that with that ISO package.
We do have a couple options for you to choose from. Yeah, besides the default uh deploy deployment script, again, you can replace the default deployment script with the one that that you have customized. Uh you can enable a forced update so it overwrites uh whatever uh firm firmware version that's on, on the system. And uh one that's been popular, popularly requested is the reboot system automatically. And this allows after the boot ISO has run on a target system that it reboots itself and goes back to the original host OS.
