This demo will show how to create a report using the built-in report builder. We're going to create a pie chart that displays different OS types in my notebook. To start, right click reports. Go to new. Report. And choose computer report. You're then presented with a report builder. From here you can change the name of the report by simply clicking on the default name. And let's go ahead and add a description for it.
Next we'll click on the fields tab to add the OS name field. Click add and start entering the field name in the box and select OS name. Next select the grid field and click the edit button. We'll go ahead and create an alias for the field and call it count. And since we want the total number. of OS types we'll set the aggregate to count. Click on the green checkmark to save. Let's also go ahead and create an alias for OS name field and simply call it OS.
We don't need the name field. So let's go ahead and delete it. It's there by default. Next to create our chart, go ahead and click views tab. Select chart for your type. And select pie for the chart type. Let's name our report OS types. Select OS for the X axis and select count for the Y axis. Click save changes. And there you have it.
