In this video, we show how to replace the PCIe fan on a PowerEdge T160. In order to remove the PCIe fan, you must first remove the system cover and air shroud. To remove the system cover, loosen the two thumbscrews securing it in place. Slide the cover towards the front and lift it from the system. To remove the air shroud, hold it by the edges and lift it out of the system.
To remove the PCIe fan from the system, disconnect their cable from the system board. Press the release tabs together and lift to remove it from the system. To install the PCIe fan, align and lower it into the system until firmly seated. Then connect the cable to the system board.
To install the air shroud, align the tabs on the air shroud with the system then lower it into the system until firmly seated. To install the system cover, align and place it onto the system.
