How to Replace the Separator Roller on Dell B5460dn and B5465dnf Laser Printers

This video will demonstrate the replacement procedure of the Separator Roller on Dell B5460dn and B5465dnf Laser Printers.

Here's how to change the separator roller on Dell B5460dn, and B5465dnf laser printers. When it's time to change the separator roller, your printer will alert you with a message on the screen.

We're using a 5465 here, the 5460 uses the same separator roller, and it's changed in the same way. Remove the paper tray. To remove the separator roller, press and hold the blue button on the left of the tray, then lift the roller on the left side.

Locate the mounting holes on the right of the tray. Insert the new roller, fitting it to the holes first, then push down on the left while pressing the blue button.

Reinsert the tray. To reset the roller life counter, Switch the printer on while holding keys 2 and 6 on the number pad. In the cofiguration menu select 'Reset Roller Kit Counter', then select again to confirm. Select 'Back', then 'Exit Config Menu'. The printer restarts automatically.
