This video was created too explain the steps involved to change the switch IP address by a remote connection. And two demonstrate the commands involved when virtual fabric is enabled. This slide explains the steps involved in case of virtual fabric enabled on switch, use the fos config show command to check if VF is enabled or not.
If enabled, use the IP AD D A set add command to change the IP address. These procedures are used when new switches are added into the fabric where there are migration plans involved. This will be useful when network level changes have been performed. And the user wants to assign a new set of IP addresses to the switches before you begin.
Make sure you can putty to the switch successfully check if the VF is enabled or not on the switch. Have admin credentials to perform the changes have console access in the event the IP address changes get stuck and are unsuccessful putty into the switch using SSH, verify the switch serial number by using command chassis shell.
