Installation instructions
1. Download the self-extracting file R32008.EXE to your hard drive.
2. When download is complete, execute the file by selecting "Open" in
the "Download complete" window, or by double-clicking R32008.EXE.
3. Follow the on-screen prompts to "Unzip" the files and launch the installation instructions. Make a note of where you choose to unzip the files. This will be important later on.
4. Click "Start/Settings/Control Panel". Double-click the "System" icon.
5. Click on the "Hardware" tab. Click the "Device Manager" button.
6. In the "Device Manager" window, double-click "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers".
7. Double-click "CMD PCI-0646 Bus Master PCI to IDE Controller".
8. Click on the "Driver" tab and then click on the "Update Driver" button.
9. When the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" appears, click "Next".
10. Ensure "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)" is selected, and then click "Next".
11. Click to place a checkmark next to "Specify a location", then click "Next".
12. Type in the path to the driver files previously unzipped in Step #3. (for example, "c:\dell\drivers\R32008") You can also click the "Browse" button to help you locate the files. When the path is entered correctly, click "Ok".
13. The wizard will find the new driver. Click "Next" to continue.
14. Click "Finish" to close the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard".
15. Click on the "Close" button to close the "CMD PCI-0646U2 Ultra DMA IDE Controller Properties" window.
The driver is now installed.
