Updating CM firmware
---------------------------------

You can update the CM firmware through iDRAC by using the RACADM utility.
You can use local RACADM, remote RACADM, or firmware RACADM.

Updating CM firmware using local RACADM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use the following command:
racadm update -f cm.sc

If the command is successful, the following messages is displayed:
Copying..
Transferring...
Applying Update.... Depending on the file size this operation might take several
minutes, do not interrupt the process.
RAC1066: Firmware update for cm.sc initiated successfully.

Updating CM firmware using remote RACADM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use the following command:
racadm -r ip -u username -p password update -f cm.sc

If the command is successful, the following messages is displayed:
The Copying Operation has begun.
This might take several minutes to complete, depending on the network.
Do not interrupt the operation.
RAC1066: Firmware update for cm.sc initiated successfully.

Updating CM firmware from NFS network share using firmware RACADM
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Log in to iDRAC CLI using putty/Teraterm

2. Use the following command:
racadm update -f -l 1.2.3.4:/share

If the command is successful, the following message is displayed:
.....Copying completed.
RAC1066: Firmware update for cm.sc initiated successfully.

CM firmware update may take up to 10 minutes.
CM reboots and initializes after firmware update is complete.

Use the following command to verify the CM firmware version.
The values are shown in hexadecimal format and need to be converted to decimal.
