Fixes & Enhancements
The following changes were made to the A03 BIOS to create A04.
1. Updated Prescott A0 microcode from patch level 02 to patch level 12 and
add B0 microcode at patch level 05.
2. Fixed bug in CDROM boot support that appeared with no non-RAID hard drives.
3. Fixed MP IRQ routing table issue for the SATA controller that showed up
with some versions of Red Hat Linux.
4. Improved handling of corrupt USB config descriptors permitting certain
USB 2.0 devices could be used to boot to DOS.
5. Insured CMOS is valid before using it to enable/disable hyperthreading.
6. Ignored multiple USB boot devices, so the first of each type remains
usable.
7. Retry and then disable a USB boot device if it reports a null geometry
to prevent a system hang and reduce boot time for some other USB devices.
8. Fixed problem allocating IRQs for devices behind 2 or more PCI bridges.
9. Improved wording of SMART failure messages.
10. Eliminated problems with some asset tag values.
11. Insured that the diag LEDs correctly indicate GGGG after a sucessful PXE
boot.
12. Added EDD 3.0 support (INT 13h functions).
13. Increased tolerance window for the tach fan speed.
14. Fixed issue with (very) early morning setting of WEEKDAYS auto-power-on
function.
15. Fixed minor keyboard handler problems in the setup screen.
16. Increased the number of option ROMs supported to 16.
17. Handles USB boot devices without 64-byte packet sizes.
18. Fixed problem with SATA interrupt handler chaining logic.

Download:
1. Click the "Download Now" link to download the file.
2. If the Export Compliance Disclaimer window appears, click the "I agree" link to accept the agreement.
3. When the file Download window appears, click "Save" to save the file to your hard drive.
Flashing the BIOS:
1. Browse the location where you have downloaded the file and double click the new file to run the BIOS flash program.
2. The BIOS flash utility window appears, click continue.
3. When the BIOS flash utility has completed you will be prompt to restart you computer. Click Yes.
4. BIOS flash Compete.

Disk Creation:
1. Browse the location where you downloaded the file and double click the new file to create the diskette set.
2. Insert a blank diskette then click Continue.
3. When prompted, repeat step 2 until you reach the end of the diskette set. Label each diskette with a disk number starting from 1.
4. After all the files have been copied to the last diskette, click Finish.
Installation:
1. Insert the first (or the only) disk of the set into the floppy drive.
2. Click Start, click Shutdown, click Restart, and the click OK.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Extract Files
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file to unzip the download package
2. Click Continue.
3. Specify the location to upzip the files.
4. Click on the OK button to extract files.
5. After a few seconds a dialog box will appear that says that all files were successfully unzipped. Click OK to exit from the installer.
Installation:
1. A window will open with all files extracted.
2. Double click on the PE400A04.EXE
3. A window will appear click continue.
4. When the BIOS Flash Utility completes click Yes or reboot to restart your computer.
