PE 2600 INTEL E7500 CHIP SET DRIVER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR W2K

0. Print a copy of these instructions to use as a reference while
installing the driver.

1. Download the file P64H2A00.EXE to a temporary directory on your hard
drive. This file is a self-extracting executable.

2. Execute the downloaded file by double clicking it. This will allow you
to extract the two files archived in P64h2A00.EXE to C:\WINNT\TEMP. By
following the on-screen instructions, you may specify an alternate
directory when the file is executed.

3. Two files, p64h2.cat and p64h2.inf, will be extracted to the directory
that you specified in Step 2.

4. To install the new driver, first click on the Start Button.

5. Then go to "Settings" and click on "Control Panel".

6. Next, double click the "System" icon.

7. With the "System Properties" window now open, click on the "Hardware"
tab.

8. Under the "Hardware" tab, click on the button entitled "Device
Manager..." The "Device Manager" window will open.

9. In the "Device Manager" window, click on the '+' sign next to "System
devices" to expand the list of System devices.

9. In the "System devices" list, look for devices labeled as "Intel(R)
P64H2 PCI to PCI Bridge - 1460". The following steps will have to be
performed for each of the devices labeled as "Intel(R) P64H2 PCI to PCI
Bridge - 1460".

10. Double click on a device that is labeled as "Intel(R) P64H2 PCI to
PCI Bridge - 1460" to open its Properties window.

11. In the "Intel(R) P64H2 PCI to PCI Bridge - 1460 Properties" window,
click on the "Driver" tab.

12. Under the "Driver" tab, click on the "Update Driver..." button. This
will open the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" window.

13. In the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" window, click the "Next >"
button.

14. In the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" window, under "What do you want
the wizard to do?", select "Display a list of the known drivers for this
device so that I can choose a specific driver" and then click the "Next
>" button.

15. In the "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" window, under "Select a Device
Driver", click the "Have Disk..." button. This will open the "Install
From Disk" window

16. In the "Install From Disk" window, click the "Browse..." button.
This will open the "Locate File" window.

17. In the "Locate File" window, under "Look in:", navigate to the
directory that you specified in Step 2 in order to locate the file
p64h2.inf. Once the correct directory path is specified, click on the
file p64h2.inf. This will cause "p64h2.inf" to appear in the "File
name:" field. Once this has occurred, click the "Open" button.
The "Locate File" window will close.

18. In the "Install From Disk" window, the "Copy manufacturer's files
from:" field will now contain the directory path that you specified in
Step 17. Be certain that it is the same directory path that you
specified in Step 2. If it is not, repeat Steps 16 and 17. If it is,
click the "OK" button.

19. In the "Update Device Driver Wizard" window, under "Models:",
click "Intel(R) P64H2 PCI to PCI Bridge - 1460" to highlight it. Then
click the "Next >" button.

20. The "Update Device Driver Window" will now report the following
message. "The wizard is ready to install the driver for the following
hardware device: Intel(R) P64H2 PCI to PCI Bridge - 1460". Click
the "Next >" button.

21. The "Update Device Driver Window" will now report the following
message. "Windows has finished installing the software for this device.
To close this wizard, click Finish." Click the "Finish" button.

22. In the "Intel(R) P64H2 PCI to PCI Bridge - 1460 Properties" window,
click the "Close" button.

23. Repeat Steps 10 through 22 for all "Intel(R) P64H2 PCI to PCI Bridge -
1460" devices listed under "System devices" in the Device Manager
window.
