PowerEdge 2600 will hang during hibernation with W2K driver 5.32.2
and firmware version 2.01.
This firmware only has the base code from release version 2.01 and the fix
to the hibernation issue.
Problem Description:
Hibernation attempt on PE2600 PERC 4/Di with firmware 2.01 under W2K with
driver version 5.35.2 will result in a system hang. A power cycle is
required which will caused the data in memory to be lost. The problem is
due to an error in driver-firmware communication during the hibernation
process. This problem is not seen when using driver version 5.32.

Installation instructions
Default Instructions for PERC4-Di-205-a01.exe:
NOTE: In order to create this bootable diskette, this file must be
downloaded to and executed on a system running Microsoft Windows.
Floppy Disk Boot to Disk for PERC4-Di-205-a01.exe
Download
1.Click the location, e.g. Americas, from which you want to download the
file.
2.If the Export Compliance Disclaimer window appears, click Yes, I Accept
this Agreement.
3.When the File Download window appears, click Save this program to disk
and click OK. The Save In window appears.
4.From the Save In drop-down menu, click to select Desktop and then click
Save. The file will download to your desktop.
5.If a Download Complete window appears, click Close. A new icon appears
on your desktop.
Hard Drive Floppy Disk Creation
1.Get 1 blank, formatted floppy disks.
2.Double-click the new icon on the desktop. The Self-Extractor window
appears.
3.Click Setup. An MS-DOS window appears with a message indicating that
you need 1 floppy diskettes.
4.Press the [ENTER] key.
A message appears prompting you to insert a blank floppy diskette. Insert
a floppy disk into the floppy disk drive.
5.Press the [ENTER] key. A message appears indicating that all data on
the disk will be erased.
6.Press the [y] key and then press the [ENTER] key.
The files are copied to the floppy diskette. Once the files have been
copied to the diskette a message appears prompting you to insert the
second diskette.
7.Repeat steps 4 – 6 until you reach the end of the diskette set.
8.After all the files have been copied to the last floppy disk, press the
[ENTER] key and the MS-DOS window closes.
Install
1. Insert the disk into the system requiring the upgrade.
2. Reboot the system and follow the on-screen instructions.
