Format Description:
This file contains a compressed (or zipped) set of files formatted for VMware. Download the file to a folder on your hard drive, then double-click it to unzip the set of files. Follow the install instructions below to complete the installation.
Download 1. Click Download Now to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
Installation 1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file. 2. Read over the release information presented in the dialog window. 3. Download and install any prerequisites identified in the dialog window before proceeding. 4. Click the Install button. 5. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update.
Zip Files
Download 1. Click the Download Now link to download the file. 2. When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
Extract Files 1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file to unzip the download package 2. Click Continue. 3. Specify the location to unzip the files. 4. Click OK to extract files. After the files are extracted the message all files were successfully unzipped will appear. 5. Click OK to exit from the installer.
Installation 1. Copy extracted files to media accessible to Windows. 2. Reboot system to Windows OS. 3. Follow Server Manager->Device Manager->Storage Controller, click on the PERC Controller. 4. Click on Update Driver Software and follow the prompts to update the driver. 5. Reboot system for changes to take effect.
Installing driver during a Windows Server installation 1. Download and Run the DUP on local system. Hit the Extract button. 2. Navigate to the extracted Folder and copy the payload folder in the installation media. 3. Boot the system using the Windows Server media. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach "Where do you want to install Windows Server" window and then select "Load driver". 5. As prompted, insert the installation media and browse to the appropriate location. 6. Select a PERC series card from the list. 7. Click "Next" and continue installation.
