Dell EMC Networking N3000 series switches can mixed stack with N3132PX-ON switches of up to 8 units. Mixed stack of N3000 series Switches and N3132PX-ON switch support 1024 active VLANs configurable in the range 1-4093 and does not support MMRP/MVRP. Dell EMC Networking N3132PX-ON switches has an expansion slot to install optional stacking module with two mini-SAS stack ports. Dell EMC Networking N3000 Series switches are available with two fixed mini-SAS stack ports.

Administrators configuring mixed stack with N3000 Series switches and N3132PX-ON MUST follow the instructions documented in the "Upgrading Dell Networking N3132PX-ON Switches to Version 6.5.2.48(Advanced) or 6.5.2.18(AdvancedLite).pdf". It is strongly recommended to backup current switch configuration before forming mixed stacking.

New CPLD version 20 is available in release 6.5.1.1 and later (6.5.2.18) for both N3000 and N2000 Series switches. After upgrading the switches to FW v6.5.1.1 and later (6.5.2.18), the CPLD can be updated to version 20 from CLI using the command - 'update cpld'. To update CPLD on stack members, run - 'update cpld ' command from stack master. Please DO NOT power-cycle the switch when CPLD update is in progress. After CPLD update completes, the switch will reset on its own.

**Below information is applicable ONLY for N2000/N3000 switches upgraded to 6.5.2.18 with CPLD Version 15 or 17 or 20 and attempt to downgrade to any prior FW version**

Downgrading N3000 and N2000 Series switches from firmware version 6.5.2.18 with the updated CPLD version 15 or 17 or 20 to any prior 6.x.x.x version can ONLY be done by downgrading via interim FW version B.6.3.2 or B.6.3.32 (N3000_N2000vB.6.3.2.stk or N3000_BGPvB.6.3.32.stk) attached to zip file.
