Installation instructions
Note:
Before updating this firmware, ensure that you back up the data in the system and close all open applications. It is also recommended to connect the power cable when it is not a desktop and disconnect all external storage devices.
Download
1. Click Download File to download the file.
2. When download is complete, run the downloaded file to extract to your drive.
3. The file explorer opens pointing to the directory containing the download package. Take note of the path.
Firmware upgrade through the Windows utility
Procedure
1. Download and run Intel SSDPEDMD400G4D HR8RY_ZPE.exe.
2. Select Continue and take note of the extract location.
3. Run irmfuu_7.0.9_win32.exe with administrator privilege (right-click the executable file, then select Run as administrator).
4. A command prompt interface displays. Wait for the update to take place.
5. After the command prompt closes, reboot your computer to complete the installation.
6. To confirm whether the firmware update was successful, open Device Manager > open Disk drives > right click on SSDPEDMD400G4D and choose Properties > Go to Details tab > choose Hardware Ids from the drop-down under Property and check the firmware version.
