Dell Networking N3000 Series, Firmware Version 6.5.1.1

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ---

Mixed Stacking – N3000 Series swicthes with N3132PX-ON

It’s required to use the Advanced-Lite (N3000AdvLitev6.5.1.1.stk) version of firmware image to form the mixed stack of N3132PX-ON and N3000 Series switches.

The N3000AdvLitev6.5.1.1.stk firmware image version 6.5.1.1 supports reduced stack size of up to 8 units with maximum active VLAN support of 1024.

Administrators configuring mixed stack with N3132PX-ON switch and N3000 Series switches and MUST follow the instructions documented in the "Upgrading Dell EMC Networking N3000 Series Switches From Version 6.x.x.x to 6.5.1.1". It is strongly recommended to backup current switch configuration before forming mixed stacking

New CPLD version 20 is available in release 6.5.1.1 for both N3000 Series switches. After upgrading the switches to 6.5.1.1, the CPLD can be updated to version 20 from CLI using the command - 'update cpld'. To update CPLD on stack members, run - 'devshell cpldUpdate' command from serial console. Please DO NOT power-cycle the switch when CPLD update is in progress. After CPLD update completes, the switch will reset on its own.

**Below information is applicable ONLY for N3000 switches upgraded to 6.5.1.1 with CPLD Version 15, 17 or 20 and attempt to downgrade to any prior FW version**

Downgrading N3000 Series switches from firmware version 6.5.1.1 with the updated CPLD version 15, 17 or 20 to any prior 6.x.x.x version can ONLY be done by downgrading via interim FW version B.6.3.2 (N3000_N2000vB.6.3.2.stk ) attached to zip file.
