- Firmware updates to address the Intel security advisories INTEL-SA-00142 (CVE-2018-3659), INTEL-SA-00125 (CVE-2018-3655), INTEL-SA-00141 (CVE-2018-3657, CVE-2018-3658, CVE-2018-3616), and INTEL-SA-00131 (CVE-2018-3643, CVE-2018-3644).
- Fixed the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) configuration where a startup error is displayed after system resumes from Sleep state.
- Fixed the issue where the system stops responding when an incorrectly formatted password is entered at the BIOS Security Manager (BIOS pre-boot password) prompt.
- Fixed the issue with binary image measurement using the Linux UEFI shim boot loader.
Fixed the issue that occurs while loading BIOS defaults when Legacy option is enabled in BIOS.
- Fixed the noise issue that occurs while loading Windows.
- Fixed the issue where the system may not boot when using Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 9560. This issue occurs when Bluetooth is disabled in the setup menu.
- Fixed the issue where Wake on LAN/WLAN option is missing in the BIOS setup.
- Fixed the issue where system fails to boot when the hard drive protection application is installed and enabled in BIOS. It is applicable only if you have ordered hard drive protection along with your system.

Installation instructions

Updating the BIOS from Windows

Note 1: Before updating the BIOS, ensure that you suspend BitLocker encryption on a BitLocker-enabled system. If it is not enabled on your system, you can ignore this step. For information about how to disable BitLocker, see How to Enable or Disable BitLocker with TPM in Windows at support.dell.com.
Note 2: Do not turn off the power or interrupt the BIOS update process during the update.

Download and Installation
1. Click Download File, to download the file.
2. Click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
3. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file.
The system restarts automatically and updates the BIOS at the system startup screen. After the BIOS update is complete, system restarts again.
