Installation instructions
Install the firmware package using Wyse Management Suite
Prerequisites
- Ensure that you are running ThinOS 2505 on your thin client.
- Ensure that you are running Wyse Management Suite 5.2.
- Create a group in Wyse Management Suite with a group token.
- The thin client must be registered to Wyse Management Suite.
Steps
1. Go to the Groups & Configs page and select a group.
2. From the Edit Policies drop-down menu, click ThinOS 10.x.
The Configuration Control | ThinOS window is displayed.
3. In the left pane, click Standard.
4. From the Standard menu, expand Firmware, and click Peripherals Firmware Updates.
NOTE: If you cannot locate the Peripherals Firmware Updates option under the Standard tab, use the Advanced tab.
5. Click Browse and select the ThinOS peripheral firmware package to upload.
6. Expand the category of the peripheral and select it.
7. Verify and ensure that the switch option of the category is INSTALL.
8. Click Save & Publish.
The thin client downloads the peripheral firmware package and installs it.
Once the firmware is installed, a notification is displayed at the bottom right of the screen. You can re-plug in the Dell Dock WD19 or WD22TB4. The firmware update takes about 1 minute to complete. During the update, the Dell Dock WD19 or WD22TB4 cannot be used.
