Download:
1. Click Download Now, to download the file.
2. If the Export Compliance Disclaimer window appears, click
Yes, I Accept this Agreement.
3. When the File Download window appears, click Save
(Windows XP users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In: window appears.
4. From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
5. If the Download Complete window appears, click Close.
The file icon appears on your desktop.
Install:
1. Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled
R65348.EXE.
2. The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to
extract or unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R65348. Write down this path so
the executable (I.e. Setup.exe) file can be found later.
3. The Self-Extractor window appears.
4. Click OK.
5. After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor
window is still open, close it.
6. Click the Start button and then click Run.
7. Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R65348 in the Open textbox and
then click OK.
8. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
9. When complete, the InstallShield Wizard will appear. Click
Next.
10. If the default directory shown is acceptable, click to
unpack the driver files into the default or new directory. Then click the
Finish button.
11. Connect the printer to your computer and wait for the
Found New Hardware Wizard to appear (or you may use the Add Printer Wizard in your Printers folder).
12. From the Found New Hardware Wizard, click the "Install
from a specific location" radio button, and then click "Next".
13. On the next screen, Uncheck the "Search removable
media" check box and place a check in the box stating: "Include this
location in the search".
14. Click the "Browse" button and select the path:
C:\DELL\printer\drivers\Win_2000 and select "OK". Now click "Next".
15. The hardware Wizard will now search the path provided
and find any suitable drivers.
16. Choose either the PostScript driver DELL(PS) or the PCL
driver DELL(PCL). If you are unsure which to choose, select the PCL
driver for general printing applications or PS for graphics-intensive
applications. Then click "Next".
17. The specified driver is now installed. Click Finish to exit the hardware wizard and begin using your printer.
