Custom Instructions for dell-AMD-8.70_32-Ubuntu-9.10.tar.gz:

1. Download the fglrx64 driver tarball to a directory on your harddrive Example: /tmp.
2. At a command prompt channge directory to /tmp type "tar xzvf fglrx64_7_1_0-8.583.1-1a.dell_x86_64.tar.gz" The will create a folder with the fglrx driver rpm, dkms rpm and readme.txt file.
3. To install the driver first install dkms at a command prompt type "rpm -ivh dkms-XXXX.noarch.rpm then type "rpm -ivh fglrx64_XXXX.rpm.
4. Reboot the system and dkms will build the fglrx driver for your current kernel.

Reboot will be required
