Important Information
WARNING: Do not flash BIOS A04, A05, or A06 (version A07 was not released), using Dell OpenManage(TM) IT Assistant or Dell OpenManage Server Administrator because the BIOS becomes corrupted and you must replace the hardware. Use the FLASH BIOS Update diskette to update your BIOS.
To flash the BIOS using Dell OpenManage IT Assistant or Dell OpenManage Server Administrator, the system must be at BIOS A08 or later.
WARNING: Do not flash the BIOS to A04, A05, or A06 (version A07 was not released), unless the system has any of the processor(s) below installed, otherwise the system becomes unusable after flashing. If the system becomes unusable, install one of the following processors:
o 1400-MHZ Intel(R) Xeon(TM) with 512-KB cache
o 1500-MHZ Intel Xeon with 512-KB cache
o 1600-MHZ Intel Xeon with 1-MB cache

Diskette Format
Download
1. Click the "Download Now" link to download the file.
2. If the Export Compliance Disclaimer window appears, click the "I agree" link to accept the agreement.
3. When the File Download window appears, click "Save" to save the file to your hard drive.
Installation
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file.
2. Run the executable file by double-clicking on the icon.
3. Click the Setup button.
4. Follow the directions to create the FlashBIOS update diskette.
5. Insert the created FlashBIOS update diskette into the target system.
6. Reboot the system.
7. When prompted, press "Y" to execute the FlashBIOS update.
8. Remove the diskette and reboot system
