Installation instructions
Graphical installation:
1. Download the Server Hardware Management Software installation package.
2. Navigate to the download directory of the installer.
3. Double-click the installation program.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions and accept the End User License Agreement.
NOTE: You can choose to start the SNMP monitoring service after installation is complete.
Command Line installation:
1. Download the Server Hardware Management Software installation package.
2. Navigate to the download directory of the installer.
3. Extract the .tar.gz file
4. Run the extracted installer executable, and follow the on-screen instructions
Silent installation:
1. Download the Server Hardware Management Software installation package.
2. Navigate to the directory containing the extracted installer.
3. Run the command executable with the following arguments --mode unattended
This command installs the Server Hardware Management Software with all the default settings.
Using the installer.options file:
When you extract the .tar.gz, there will be the installer executable along with an installer.options file. There are two ways to use this installer.options file to help speed up the installation of Server Hardware Manager.
1. Run the command executable with the arguments --optionfile
Usage -
installer[.exe] --optionfile [path to the optionfile]
Alternatively if the options file is named the same as the installer with .options appended to the name the installer will automagically use the options file in the the same directory.
For Example:
ServerHardwareManager-2.3.0.27-RHEL8-installer
ServerHardwareManager-2.3.0.27-RHEL8-installer.options
