Upgrade instruction using WMS on Ubuntu Devices with DCA-Enabler 1.6.0-9/1.5.0-14 1. Download the DCA_Enabler_1.7.0-20.zip package and unzip the package to a folder. 2. After unzipping, two package files DCA_Enabler_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz and DCA_Enabler_Packages_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz are available. 3. Copy and Paste the above package files to genericClientApps folder of the WMS local repository or remote repository or upload the packages from Apps & Data > Generic Client App Inventory page using Add Package File button. 4. Deploy the DCA_Enabler_Packages_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz package to Ubuntu Generic Devices from WMS Generic application policies. 5. Deploy the DCA_Enabler_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz package to Ubuntu Generic Devices from WMS Generic application policies. Alternatively, both DCA_Enabler_Packages_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz and DCA_Enabler_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz can be deployed in one Advanced App policy in same sequence. 6. Ubuntu Generic devices are updated with DCA-Enabler version 1.7.0-20 and devices are updated as Generic Client devices.
Manual Installation of DCA-Enabler 1.7.0-20 instructions on Ubuntu (18.04/20.04) Devices: 1. Download the DCA_Enabler_1.7.0-20.zip package and unzip the package to a folder. 2. After unzipping, two package files DCA_Enabler_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz and DCA_Enabler_Packages_1.7.0-20_amd64_signed.tar.gz are available. 3. Unzip the files till you get the .debian files. 4. Install dca-enabler-packages_1.7.0-20_amd64.deb.deb using the command dpkg -i dca-enabler-packages_1.7.0-20_amd64.deb.deb. 5. Install dca-enabler_1.7.0-20_amd64.deb using the command dpkg -i dca-enabler_1.7.0-20_amd64.deb. 6. Register these Ubuntu devices to WMS using the manual registration method or discovery methods. For more information, see Wyse Management Suite 3.x Administrator's Guide. 7. Ubuntu devices are registered to WMS as Generic Client device.
