A. Update using File Server (BIN) 1. Download Dell BIOS file "A10Q_bios.bin" 2. Upload renamed BIOS file to folder "WNOS" in file server (ftp or http(s)) 3. Make sure the INI "autoload" is enabled for firmware update in WNOS.INI 4. Restart the unit with file server configured correctly 5. BIOS will be updated automatically 6. System will restart a. Check ThinOS System Information to make sure new BIOS is loaded correctly, i.e., System Version: e.g., 8.4_105 (ROM 1.2.0) b. Check that BIOS has been updated to proper version OR c. Shut down and power on the system and press F2 to enter BIOS system d. Then select BIOS Setup, go to Settings -> General -> System Information, find BIOS version
B. For WMS (BIN) please follow the steps below: 1. Download Dell BIOS file "A10Q_bios.bin" 2. Sign in Dell Management Portal of WMS 3. Add the Dell BIOS file in ThinOS OS Image Repository on App & Data tab page 4. Enable BIOS Upgrade and select the BIOS file in Firmware Upgrade Group Policy on Group & Configs tab page 5. Then ThinOS devices registered to that Group will receive the new Firmware Upgrade Policy to launch the BIOS upgrading progress automatically
