16G SEPFY24 Release: Windows and Linux OS Driver Pack Update for the deployment of server OS via Lifecycle Controller.

Supported OS List:
Microsoft Windows Server 2022
Microsoft Windows Server 2019
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.7 x86_64
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 x86_64
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP4 x86_64

NOTE:
1. If you select the Any Other Operating System option, make sure that you prepare the drivers required for installing these operating systems because the drivers are not available in Driver Pack.

2. Secure boot - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.7 x86_64, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.2 x86_64 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP4 x86_64 cannot be installed using LC Driver Pack (OOB drivers) by enabling Secure boot mode, because OOB drivers are not signed for secure boot. Please disable secure boot option in BIOS while installing the OS using LC (OOB drivers).

3. RHEL OS issue: After installing RHEL8.7 and RHEL9.2 Operating systems, we may observe issue like OS would not install/update the drivers from Driver Pack. To avoid such issues, pass the kernel boot parameters "inst.dd=LABEL=OEMDRV" before starting the installation, to use the driver disk and install/update drivers.

4. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP5 x86_64 OS : If customer consumes the Quarterly Security Update during the OS installation, Intel Driver may not show the right driver version after successful OS installation. This is expected behavior since the Intel rpms are not supported with Quarterly Security Update

5. AMD and Nvidia add-on card drivers are not included in the driver packs.

6. Non-Dell add-on card drivers are not included in the driver packs.

7. By default, in-band drivers are used if the drivers for any OS or device are not Out-of-Band.

8. For Dellbrand and Debrand platforms will not be listed while updating the DUPs on OS Rhel 8.7, Rhel 9.2 and Sles15 SP5

9. No support for NPAR and NPAR-EP running Windows Server 2019 for Broadcom and Qlogic network devices

10. INTEL/AMD chipset driver Issue: The installer may specify that there is no prior version of chipset driver is installed. This is expected behaviour.

11. Driver versions of Driverpack:
a. Copy & paste the below link to any browser,
https://www.dell.com/support/home/product-support/product/lifecycle-controller-os-driver-pack/docs
b. go to manuals & documents -> click on PDF.

12.Yellowbangs may be observed in some devices, namely Matrox Video, which will resolve after server reboot.

13.Various chipset devices will show different "versions", depending on the INF version that defines the given device. The way you know if chipset installed is when there are no yellow bangs in device manager. If you do not use LC driver pack, you will see yellow bangs in DM because devices are not "named". If you really want to look at version info, you have to look at the INFs for the platform.

14.The Installed driver version for the Mellanox card will show as "1" while executing the Out-Of-Box driver. Instead of the showing the driver version which got installed from the LC Driver pack it will show the installer version as 1 which is expected..

15. S160: When SATA mode is enabled, folder for S160 driver's SWB is created in OEMDRV. Folder will not created for S160 when SATA mode is disabled. This is expected behavior.

16. Intel QAT chipset driver: If yellow bangs are observed for "Security Accelerators", please install the QAT driver 89P8Y.
