Veritas Backup Exec, v. 8.5, 2.0

Veritas Backup Exec 8.5 for NetWare

This upgrade adds the latest device support to Veritas Backup Exec v8.5
for Novell ® Netware.

Note: The following assumes Backup Exec 8.5 is installed on your system
and the drive is attached and powered on.

1. Download and run the file VNW85.exe. The file will extract its
contents to a temporary directory.

2. Find the file b850dv08.exe in the temporary directory where the
downloaded files have been extracted.

3. If Backup Exec is running on the server, shut down the Job Manager and
the NetWare client on the server.

4. At the console prompt type bestop, and press Enter.

5. Locate the downloaded file in your temporary directory and double-click
it.

6. Extract the files to your sys:bkupexec\nlms directory.

Extracting the files overwrites several .nlm files in the directory with
the new updated versions.

7. Delete the contents of the sys:bkupexec\pm and sys:bkupexec\pm\save
directories.

Note: Delete only the contents of the directories. Do not delete the
directories.

8. Type bestart, then press Enter at the server console to start the Job
Manager and NetWare Client.
