Dell Wyse ThinLinux
Installing a firmware image using Wyse Device Manager (WDM)
1. Launch Wyse Device Manager.
2. On the Dashboard page, click Applications.
The options such as Images, Other Packages, Agent Update, Device Configuration, and PCoIP Device Configuration are displayed.
3. Select Images.
4. Click the Create Package Plus (+) button.
The application prompts you to download the Package Register utility.
5. Click Allow.
The Create Package window is displayed with the Configure Package Register option and .exe file.
6. Download the EXE file on your local repository.
7. Navigate to the folder and run the Package Register utility file.
The WDM Package Registration Utility window is displayed.
8. Enter WDM server address and User credentials in the respective fields.
9. Select RSP or EXE to register, and click Browse.
The WDM Package Uploader window is displayed.
10. Click Open.
The list of selected packages is displayed.
11. Select the packages that you want to register, and click Upload.
After the package is uploaded, the status is displayed as Success.

Installing a firmware image using Wyse Management Suite
1. Download the ThinLinux Merlin image file to the repo-dir-->repository-->osImages-->Zipped folder.
The Merlin image file automatically unzips and moves to a valid folder.
2. Log in to Wyse Management Suite and navigate to the Apps and Data page.
3. Click OS Image Policies and select WES/Thin Linux.
4. Click Add Policy, and enter the following details:
4.1. Policy name
4.2. Select a valid group from the drop-down list (group where device is assigned).
4.3. Select the operating system type. For example, ThinLinux.
4.4. Select the operating system image from the drop-down list. The image that was copied in the repository is listed.
4.5. Select a valid rule. The rule is based on the image version (upgrade or downgrade).
4.6. Click Save, and click Yes to proceed with the imaging.
5. Schedule the image job by selecting the policy name from drop-down list.
6. Enter a description and click Run.
7. Click Preview, and click Schedule.
8. Click Update Now on client to update the image.
