If you are experiencing any issues, you can manually download and reinstall.iDRAC Service Module (iSM) is a lightweight software service that better integrates operating system (OS) features with iDRAC and can be installed on Dell’s yx3x or later generation of PowerEdge servers. iSM provides OS-related information to the iDRAC and adds capabilities such as LC log event replication into the OS log, WMI support (including storage), iDRAC SNMP alerts via OS, iDRAC hard reset and remote full Power Cycle. iSM automates SupportAssist report collection process for iDRAC leading to faster issue resolution. iSM has very little impact on the host processor and smaller memory footprint than "in-band" agents such as Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA), thus expanding iDRAC management into supported host operating systems.

Download:
1. Click the Download File link to download the zip file. (Do not unzip the file after download)
Installation:
1. Login to the system running VMware Vsphere Client or vCenter-Server
2. Bring the intended ESXi host into Maintenance Mode
3. If you are using vSphere Update Manager (VUM) in ""Admin View"", first import the ZIP file in Patch Repository. Then add ""Dell EMC iDRAC Service Module for VMware ESXi"" to the desired host or group baseline before Staging or Remediating Patches.
4. The ZIP file can also be installed using remote PowerCLI tools as well as uploading the ZIP to a datastore and using an SSH client to run the following CLI command: esxcli software vib install -d ""/vmfs/volumes/[datastore path]/ ISM*.zip""
Note: iDRAC Service Module does not require a hypervisor reboot after installation. Once installed remove the host from Maintenance Mode.
