Download the .zip file containing the image
Extract the DNOS-OF-NXXXX-1.1.0.YY.stk file image from the .zip file
Put the DNOS-OF-NXXXX-1.1.0.YY.stk file onto either a USB stick or a TFTP server.
From the existing N-series command line:

If USB stick, install to backup partition using the following command:
copy USB:///DNOS-OF-NXXXX-1.1.0.YY.stk backup

If TFTP stick, install to backup partition using the following command:
copy TFTP:////DNOS-OF-NXXXX-1.1.0.YY.stk backup

Issue the "boot system backup" command to point the boot loader to the backup partition.
Reload the switch. It should boot up into the DNOS-OF firmware.

To get back to the legacy N-Series firmware, issue the "boot system primary" command.
Reload the switch. It should now boot back into the N-Series firmware with no changes to running configuration or firmware state
