1) The latest CPLD needs to be installed first on 10G blades before installing the 1.5 firmware.
2) An AC Cycle needs to be performed on the blade, after the update to 1.5 is completed.

1. Read over the release information presented by executing the ./IDRAC_FRMW_LX_R231892.BIN --version command from the shell.

A progress meter moves as the download is completed.

5) If necessary, click X in the upper right-hand corner of the Download Progress Window to close it upon completion.

6) Double click the Icon on your desktop for the newly saved file.
The Dell iDRAC Release Notes window appears.

Download
1. Click the Download Now link to download the file.
2. When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.

Extract Files
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file to unzip the download package.
2. Specify the location to unzip the files.
3. Click on the unzip button to extract files.
4. Run the DOS-based iDRAC FW update utility, idrac16d.exe, from a DOS bootable media (USB key, USB-attached floppy etc).
NOTE - vMedia can NOT be used for this as the component being updated is iDRAC, and vMedia uses iDRAC.
5. CMC based update of iDRAC can also be done using the iDRAC binary (firmimg.imc).
