Updating CM firmware ---------------------------------
You can update the CM firmware through iDRAC by using the RACADM utility. You can use local RACADM, remote RACADM, or firmware RACADM.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Updating CM firmware using local RACADM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Use the following command: racadm update -f cm.sc
If the command is successful, the following messages is displayed: Copying.. Transferring... Applying Update.... Depending on the file size this operation might take several minutes, do not interrupt the process. RAC1066: Firmware update for cm.sc initiated successfully.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Updating CM firmware using remote RACADM ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Use the following command: racadm -r ip -u username -p password update -f cm.sc
If the command is successful, the following messages is displayed: The Copying Operation has begun. This might take several minutes to complete, depending on the network. Do not interrupt the operation. RAC1066: Firmware update for cm.sc initiated successfully.
