It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.
- Dell Technologies recommends that you update to the new Standalone Configuration Config UI Package for ThinOS 9.x, WinIoT 2.x and DHC devices to take the advantages of all the new features.
- It is recommended that you use the IExplorer, Google Chrome, or Microsoft Edge browser to download the .exe file.
Standard Instructions to Upload and Apply Config UI package:
For On-Premise Server: 1. Download the latest Config UI package. 2. Log in to Wyse Management Suite as a Global Administrator. 3. Go to Portal Administration > System > Setup > Configuration UI Package. 4. Click Browse and select the latest Configuration UI package. The new Configuration UI package is applied to Wyse Management Suite Server. or when Dell Hybrid Client device has higher version of Configuration UI package compare to WMS Server. 1. Click Devices tab, select the Dell Hybrid Client device which has higher version of Configuration UI package 2. Go to Device Details page. 3. Click More Actions and select Pull Configuration UI Package option. The following alert message is displayed: You are about to send a PullConfigUIPackage command to the device. Do you wish to Proceed? 4. Click Send Command. Then the new Configuration UI package from Dell Hybrid Client device is applied to WMS Server.
