The OpenManage Enterprise Integration for VMware vCenter (OMEVV) is designed to streamline the management processes in the data center environment by allowing use of VMware vCenter Server to manage server infrastructure - both physical and virtual. From monitoring system-level information, bubbling up system alerts for action in vCenter, setting baselines for firmware levels, then rolling out firmware updates for an ESXi or vSAN cluster that can leverage DRS, the OpenManage Enterprise Integration will expand and enrich VMware management experience with Dell PowerEdge servers and chassis.

Fixes & Enhancements
The following are the enhancements in OpenManage Enterprise Integration for VMware vCenter (OMEVV) version1.7.0: - New support for PowerEdge 17G. - Support for OME 4.4. - Support for TLS v1.3 included. - Upgrade support from OMEVV 1.6.1 to 1.7.0.
Defect Fix: - On the Hardware Compatibility page, an error occurs when you fetch a device firmware data during the hardware compatibility check for the vSAN cluster using vSphere Lifecycle Manager. - When a host is part of a folder entity within a data center in the vCenter infrastructure, the SCAN task does not calculate the firmware compliance data. - After you restart VMware vCenter server, the connection from OMEVV to VMware vCenter may be interrupted or broken. The following tasks such as managing new host and alerts that are logged from OMEVV to vCenter may stop functioning. - If you register an unsupported version of VMware vCenter and then upgrade or migrate to the latest version of OMEVV, then the version of VMware vCenter is supported in OMEVV. However, if you use an existing baseline profile for creating image in the vLCM, then the following error message is displayed in the Select Firmware and Drivers Addon wizard: The currently selected ESXi version is not supported.
Dell Technologies recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains changes to maintain overall system health. It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.
