Dell Technologies recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains changes to maintain overall system health. It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.
Dell recommends that you upgrade the Wyse Device Agent to the latest version. ThinLinux 1.0 devices with Wyse Device Agent 2.0.24 must be upgraded to version 2.1.23 before upgrading to version 2.2.11. This is because Wyse Device Agent 2.0.24 does not install the .tar files.
Standard installation: Dell recommends that you install the agent using Dell Wyse Management Suite.
Installation using Wyse Management Suite- 1. In the Wyse Management Suite local repository or remote repository, go to thinClientApps, and copy the application. 2. Navigate to the Apps & Data tab, select Thin Client under App Inventory, and register the application. 3. In App Policies, click Thin Client. 4. Click Add Policy. 5. To create an application policy, enter the appropriate information in the Add Standard App Policy window. 6. Select Policy Name, Group, Task, Device Type, and TC Application. 7. Click Save to create a policy. A message is displayed to allow the administrator to schedule this policy on devices based on a group. 8. Select Yes to schedule a job. 9. Select Immediately or schedule time. 10. Click Preview. The scheduled job status is displayed on the Jobs page.
