The server should never be powered down while this update is executing.

When updating CPLD using IDRAC/Lifecycle Controller, DUP update should always be executed as a standalone task and never queued up with other updates.
PowerEdge R740/R740xd CPLD
In Windows OSes:
1) Copy the executable to the server and double-click on it.
2) Confirm the update and allow the system to update itself and boot back into the OS.

In Linux OSes:
1) Copy the executable to the server
2) Execute the BIN file and confirm the update.
3) Allow the system to update itself and reboot into the OS.

From IDRAC GUI:
1) In IDRAC GUI, navigate to Maintenance->System update
2) Click Browse and select the CPLD WIN64 EXE file.
3) Click Upload and allow the system to update itself.
