Dell OpenManage Integration Version 2.1.1 with ServiceNow

This is a patch release and hence it needs to be installed on top of Dell OpenManage Integration with ServiceNow v2.1.0, refer to link https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/DriversDetails?driverid=CPTT3 for details.
This patch supports working with OME 3.x and 4.0 versions.
To monitor the PowerEdge servers discovered in OpenManage Enterprise, ensure that the appropriate Dell license for integration with ServiceNow is installed on the PowerEdge servers. You can purchase the license when you purchase a server or by contacting your sales representative. You can download the purchased license from the Software License Management Portal at Dell.com/support/retail/lkm.

Pre-requisite: Dell OpenManage Integration with ServiceNow v2.1.0.
Dell OpenManage Integration with ServiceNow v2.1.1 tar.gz package consists of the file "Dell_OpenManage_Integration_2_1_1_ServiceNow_Connector.jar".

Fresh installation of Dell OpenManage Integration with ServiceNow v2.1.1:
I. Login to the ServiceNow instance with an account that has Admin privileges.
II. Follow the installation instructions as mentioned in the installation guide for Dell OpenManage Integration with ServiceNow v2.1.0; while skipping the v2.1.0 connector JAR deployment step mentioned in chapter 2, page 13.
III.In the ServiceNow instance, follow the below mentioned steps.
IV. Select the application scope as "Dell OpenManage Integration".
V. Type "JAR" in the application navigator and select MID Server > JAR Files.
a. In the list view, click New.
b. A form will open.
VI.In the form view, click on Manage Attachments.
a. Click on Choose file.
b. Select the file 'Dell_OpenManage_Integration_2_1_1_ServiceNow_Connector.jar' extracted from the package downloaded from Dell support website.
i. The file gets uploaded into ServiceNow instance.
c. Enter a name for the record.
d. Click on Submit.
VII.Type "MID Server" in the application navigator and select MID Server > Servers.
a. In the list view, select all the MID Servers that are applicable for this integration.
b. Click on Restart MID from the list choice actions.
c.The status of these MID Servers will become "Down" and after few moments, it changes to "Up" once restarted successfully.
d.As part of the restart process, the MID servers shall be synced with connector JAR file mentioned in #VIb.

Upgrading from Dell OpenManage Integration with ServiceNow v2.1.0 to v2.1.1:
In this scenario, the pre-requisite, Dell OpenManage Integration with ServiceNow v2.1.0 is installed and the associated connector JAR file is deployed in the MID server.
Follow the steps below,
I. Login to the ServiceNow instance with an account that has Admin privileges.
II. Select the application scope as "Dell OpenManage Integration".
III.Type "JAR" in the application navigator and select MID Server > JAR Files.
a. In the list view, select the record that consists of 'Dell_OpenManage_Integration_2_1_0_ServiceNow_Connector.jar'.
b. A form will open.
IV. In the form view, click on Manage Attachments.
a. Select the existing 'Dell_OpenManage_Integration_2_1_0_ServiceNow_Connector.jar' and click on Remove.
i. This will remove the jar file of this integration that gets deployed on the MID servers.
b. Click on Choose file.
c. Select the file 'Dell_OpenManage_Integration_2_1_1_ServiceNow_Connector.jar' extracted from the package downloaded from Dell support website.
i. The file gets uploaded into ServiceNow instance
d. Click on Update.
i. This will update the record with the new jar file.
V. Type "MID Server" in the application navigator and select MID Server > Servers.
a. In the list view, select all the MID Servers that are applicable for this integration.
b. Click on Restart MID from the list choice actions.
c. The status of these MID Servers will become "Down" and after few moments, it changes to "Up" once restarted successfully.
d. As part of the restart process, the MID servers shall be synced with new connector JAR file mentioned in #IVc.
