To update to this BIOS your system must have BIOS A02 or later. If your system does not meet this requirement, you will be updated to BIOS A02 and then will be updated to BIOS A08.

Hard Drive Installation (via WinZip) with Setup.exe File for R279747.EXE
Download
1.Click Download Now, to download the file.
2.When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP
users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In:
window appears.
3.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
4.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file
icon appears on your desktop.
Install
1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R279747.EXE.
2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or
unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R279747. Write down this path so the executable (I.e.
Setup.exe) file can be found later.
3.The Self-Extractor window appears.
4.Click OK.
5.After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor
window is still open, close it.
6.Click the Start button and then click Run.
7.Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R279747 in the Open textbox and then click OK.
8.Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
BIOS Boot Creation Utility
1.When you run the utility you will get the option to make a DOS bootable thumb drive or an ISO file
2.Choose which method you would prefer to use.
a.USB drive: The drive will be deleted and programmed with a DOS bootable image and the BIOS flash. It will run automatically once you boot to the device.
b.ISO and CD: You can create an actual ISO file and use your favorite CD burning software to create the bootable CD from the ISO. You can also burn it directly to the CD by clicking that option. You need to have a blank CD-R or a CD-RW in your drive.
3.Next boot up your system from the CD or Thumb drive by pressing F12 in the startup screen and selecting CD/DVD or USB device depending on what you are using.
