Installation instructions
Installing add-on manually:
1. Log in as an administrator and disable the Unified Write Filter.
2. Copy the .MSI file to C:\Temp folder (folder to be created).
3. Double-click the .MSI file and follow the onscreen instructions.
4. Click Finish.
5. Enable the Unified Write Filter.
Installing add-on using Wyse Device Manager
1. Download the .msi file to your system
2. Copy the downloaded .msi file to the WDM server or to a local repository.
3. Double-click the Wyse Device Manager icon, and log in to the WDM web console using valid credentials.
4. Go to Applications > Other packages.
5. Click the Create Package (+) button.
6. Click Download, and save the PkgRegister.exe file to the WDM server.
7. Navigate to the folder where you have downloaded the .msi file.
8. Double-click the .msi file.
The WDM Package Registration Utility window is displayed.
9. In the WDM Package Registration Utility window, click the respective .msi file.
The add-on for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is registered in the Other Packages section.
10. Close the WDM Package Registration Utility window, and log in to the WDM web console again.
11. Click Devices, and select a checked-in device where you want to install the add-on for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise.
12. Click Update.
The target device restarts, and the add-on for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is installed on your thin clients.
Installing add-on using Wyse Management Suite
1 Download the .msi file to your system
2 Copy the downloaded .msi to Wyse management Suite server repository. For example C:\Share\ repository\thinClientApps folder.
3 Launch Wyse Management Suite server, and log in with Wyse management Suite server credentials.
4 Click Portal Admin and select Local Repository check box, and click Sync Files.
Wait for Sync to complete.
5 Click Apps & Data and verify the copied package appears in the apps list.
6 Create a group of your choice by clicking +, and register your client to the same group.
7 Go to App Policies > Apps & Data > Thin Client and then click Add Policy button and update the required details.
8 Click Yes.
9 Click Schedule App Policy and schedule the deplyment.
10 Monitor the status in Jobs to ensure the package push is success.
The target client reboots, and a flash progress bar on the Dell logo screen is displayed as the BIOS update is being performed and boots in to OS.
Installing add-on using System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Client Side Configuration
1 Add the client to the domain.
Note: Ensure that the client and SCCM server are in the same Domain.
2 Login as a Domain Admin user.
3 Change Time zone to SCCM server time zone.
4 Go to Control Panel, and click Configuration Manager.
5 Click the Site Tab, and click Configure Setting button.
6 Click Find Site button.
7 Click the Actions Tab.
8 Configure the action items and click Apply
Note: If you do not get all action items as soon as you open Configuration Manager, reboot the client and log in as domain administrator.
9 Open Software Center.
10 Go to Options and click Computer Maintenance.
11 Deselect the suspend policy and select the automatic install policy..
12 Sync the policy and click Apply
Server-side Configuration
1 Copy the pulled *.wim file, PrepareOSPartion.wss & sysprep.xml files to shared folder.
2 Open SCCM console.
3 Go to Assets and Compliance tab.
4 Right-click Device Collection and click Create New Device Collection.
5 Create the new device collection by selecting all systems as limitations.
6 Go to Devices page, select the client and add the client to the created device collection.
7 Go to Operating Systems and Create the OS Package by adding WIM file.
8 Right-click the created OS package, and select distribute content.
9 After distribution, create the task sequence.
11 Right-click Task sequence and click Create Task sequence.
12 Edit the task.
