Installation instructions
Installing the add-on using Wyse Management Suite:
1. Download the DEB or RSP file to the following path on the Wyse Management Suite server:
- DEB file - C:\WMS\LocalRepo\repository\thinClientApps.
- RSP file - C:\WMS\LocalRepo\repository\rspPackages\zipped. The extracted files are copied to C:\WMS\LocalRepo\repository\rspPackages\valid.
2. Log in to Wyse Management Suite.
3. Click Portal Administration, and then click File Repository in Console Settings.
4. Select the Local Repository check box and Click Sync Files.
5. Click Apps and Data and verify the copied package in the applications list.
6. Click Groups & Configs.
7. Click the Plus sign (+) button, and register your client to the same group.
8. Click Apps and Data.
9. Click Thin Clients in App Policies.
10. Click Add Policy to add the policy to the required group.
11. Update the required fields, and click Save.
12. Click Schedule App Policy and update the required fields to schedule the policy.
13. On the Jobs page, monitor the status to ensure that the package installation is successful.
Installing the add-on using Wyse Device Manager (WDM):
1. Download the ZIP file on your local repository.
2. Launch Wyse Device Manager and log in using valid credentials.
3. On the Dell Wyse Device Manager dashboard page, click Applications.
4. Select one of the options except Device Configuration, and PCoIP Device Configuration.
5. Click Create Package Plus (+), and select the add-on.
6. Click Allow when the application prompts you to download the Package Register utility.
7. Run the Package Register utility file.
8. Enter the WDM server address and user credentials.
9. Select RSP to register, and click Browse.
10. Click Open.
11. Select the packages that you want to register, and click Upload.
12. Click Devices and select the Device ID check box.
13. Click Update and select the add-on package.
14. Click Save.
The add-on installation is scheduled to the device and the add-on is installed on the thin client.
Installing the add-on using the INI parameter:
1. Copy the add-on and create directory file in to the \add-ons folder.
2. To install the add-on add the following INI parameter in wlx.ini:
InstallAddons=ericom-powerterm_12.3.0.0.20171015.1-01_amd64.deb
3. To manually configure INI server details, follow the steps 4 to 11. If DHCP method to add INI server details is configured, then skip steps 4 to 11.
4. Log in to the thin client.
5. To enter into the Admin mode, click the Switch to Admin button.
6. Enter the default password.
7. Click the Settings icon on the desktop.
8. Click the Management icon.
9. Click INI.
10. From the drop-down list, select the configuration source and provide the server details.
11. Click Save.
12. Restart the thin client to download the INI settings.
