Known Issues: ============ 1. On the T620 LOMs, this firmware update must be applied from within a supported operating system twice. On the T620 LOMs, this firmware update does not work properly from Lifecycle Controller, iDRAC, and CMC. 2. On the X540 based adapters, this firmware update must be applied from within a supported operating system. On these adapters, this firmware update does not work properly from Lifecycle Controller, iDRAC, and CMC. 3. If the firmware of an Intel X520 DP 10Gb + I350 DP 1Gb Ethernet Network Daughter Card is upgraded to 15.0.28 via Lifecycle Controller or iDRAC, iDRAC communication through the 1Gb ports of the Network Daughter Card is lost after an AC Power Cycle. After the AC Cycle and booting into an OS, the Link LED is on for the port and theadapter is functional to the Operating System but the adapter is not functional with respect to iDRAC communication. To correct the problem, downgrade the firmware on the adapter from within an Operating System to 14.5.9. 4. If the firmware of an Intel X520 DP 10Gb DA/SFP+ Server Adapter is upgraded to 15.0.28 via Lifecycle Controller or iDRAC, connectivity is lost on the adapter. To restore link functionality, downgrade the firmware on the adapter from within an Operating System to 14.5.9. 5. If the firmware of an Intel X520 DP 10Gb + I350 DP 1Gb Ethernet Network Daughter Card is upgraded to 15.0.28 from within an Operating System while iDRAC firmware version prior to 1.56.56 is on the system, iDRAC communication on Port 1 and Port 2 of the adapter will be lost. To correct the issue after it has occurred, an AC Power Cycle must be performed. To avoid the issue, upgrade the iDRAC firmware version to the latest version available prior to upgrading the Intel NIC firmware.
After updating the firmware on the Intel network adapters using the Lifecycle Controller or running the Firmware Update Package, the system must be completely powered down (A/C power removed) and restarted for all changes to take effect.
