Fixes & Enhancements
Fixes:
- Fixed the issue where the BIOS recovery fails when using USB devices. This issue occurs when the BIOS recovery file in the USB is more than 32 MB.
Enhancements:
- Enhanced the system stability in Modern Standby mode.
Important Information
- Once the BIOS is upgraded, you cannot downgrade the BIOS EXE/Recovery (RCV) to versions earlier than 1.6.0 due to downgrade restrictions on Dell Inspiron 3501, Vostro 3400, and 3500 systems. BIOS downgrades are restricted when there are security updates and important fixes with earlier versions that impact the functionality of the system.
- BIOS updates take no more than 5 minutes to be installed on your system. You can install the updates in the background while using the system.
