Note:
Before updating this firmware, ensure that you back up the data in the system and close all open applications. It is also recommended to connect the power cable when it is not a desktop and disconnect all external storage devices.
The firmware utility can only update one drive at a time. Hence, you are recommended to do the update separately when you have more than one drive.

Download
1. Click Download File, to download the file.
2. When download is complete, run Apacer SM210-M280 K3TKX.exe to extract this file.
3. Click Continue, and save the file.

Updating the firmware from Windows
1. Go to the folder Apacer SM210-M280 WIN K3TKX.
2. Right-click the file that is named Apacer_SFDM1D4K and select Run as Administrator.
3. Click Yes when the User Account Control window is displayed.
4. In the command prompt, press y when Are you sure to keep continuing the FW update? message is displayed.
Do not interrupt the firmware update. After the update is successful, the status of the update is displayed in the command prompt.
5. The system reboots.
To check whether the firmware is updated, repeat steps from 1 to 3.

Updating the firmware from DOS
Preparation of USB drive
1. Prepare a USB drive, and insert it to the target system.
2. Back up the data in the USB drive.
3. Go to the Apacer SM210-M280 DOS K3TKX folder.
4. Run ISPInst and select Run as Administrator to launch the USB drive utility.
5. Select the target USB drive, and select Start.
6. Click Yes to continue.
7. A success message is displayed when the USB drive is ready.
8. Click Close to proceed.
9. Boot the USB drive in Legacy mode on the system to begin firmware update.

Updating the firmware from DOS using USB drive
1. Power on the system and then Press the F12 key to load the boot options.
2. Select USB Storage Device from the Legacy boot list.
3. Select Update Device, and enter 0 or 1 for the drive info.
4. Remove the USB drive, and restart the system.
To check whether the firmware has been updated, repeat steps from 1 to 2.

Updating the firmware from Linux
1. Right-click the file named Apacer SM210-M280 LN K3TKX.
2. Click Open in Terminal.
3. In terminal, type sudo su to get root privilege and enter your password.
4. Type chmod 777 DLMC to convert the file into an executable file.
5. Type ./DLMC to run the executable firmware upgrade file.
6. Press Enter and press y when Are you sure to keep continuing the FW update? message is displayed.
7. Enter the device path (for example, /dev/sda) to initiate the update and press Enter.
The system restarts.
8. Go to disks to confirm the update.
