2.7.1 added support for the PERC3/QC and PERC3/DC RAID controllers.
The Array Manager Service Pack 2.7.2 contains the following fixes:
Issue: 32428: Severity of battery recondition error message is incorrect
Details: Array Manager incorrectly logs a critical error that says the Battery Backup Unit needs to be reconditioned. Rather than being a critical error, this message should be informational, indicating that the BBU be reconditioned to verify battery maximum and minimum levels. The 2.7.2 service pack correctly shows this message as informational (not critical).
Issue: 28975: Dell PowerVault 660F is not performing expand capacity correctly on RAID 5 virtual disk. (also resolved in Array Manager Service Pack 2.7.1)
Details: If you add new array disks to a Dell PowerVault 660F array and then perform an Expand Capacity on a RAID 3 or RAID 5 virtual disk with Array Manager 2.6 or 2.7, the resulting virtual disk includes the new array disks, but the size of the virtual disk does not change. Viewing
the array disks of the virtual disk shows unused space at the end of each array disk. After installing Array Manager Service Pack 2.7.2, performing an Expand Capacity on a RAID 3 or 5 virtual disk increases the size of the virtual
disk so that it consumes the capacity of the existing and new array disks.
Issue: 32424:Array Manager reposts old events from the controller with new timestamps
Details: When the Disk Management Service of Array Manager is restarted (either manually or by rebooting the server), past events that occurred on the PowerVault 660F controllers reappear in the Array Manager Events window and the Microsoft Windows event log. These old events are also sent
as SNMP traps. A fix is included in this service pack to determine if an event from the PowerVault 660F controller has already been posted to the event logs. If an event has already been posted, it will not be reposted or sent as an SNMP trap during the Disk Management Service startup.
Issue: Compatibility issue with the PowerVault 660F Controller
Details: With the release of Service Pack 2.7.2, each PowerVault 660F in a storage area network (SAN) should only be managed by one Array Manager managed node. If you configure more than one Array Manager managed node to manage a PowerVault 660F, then each managed node may not be able to view all events generated by the controller.
NOTES: The Array Manager Service Pack 2.7.2 only addresses the above issues in RAID management on the PowerVault 660F fibre channel array.
