Fixes Fixed issues from the previous ThinOS releases. For more information, see the latest Dell Wyse ThinOS 9.1 Release Notes at www.dell.com/support.
Dell Technologies recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains changes to maintain overall system health. It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.
- Do not power off your thin client until the installation is complete. - If you are downgrading ThinOS 9.1 to ThinOS 8.6, or ThinOS 9.0 you must use the Dell Wyse USB Imaging Tool to install the ThinOS 8.x or 9.x image. Before you downgrade, ensure that you disable the secure boot option, and also clear Trusted Platform Module (TPM) or Platform Trust Technology (PTT) in BIOS. Else, ThinOS 9.0 resets to factory settings after each reboot. - You can install only one Unified communication package at a time. For example, either one Cisco or one Zoom unified communication package can be installed at a time. - Improved the Citrix keyboard language sync function. - ThinOS 9.x supports Citrix Native Printer and Citrix Universal Print Driver (UPD) printing policies. However, Citrix UPD is limited to the PS printer class. - Do not enable video call for Citrix unified communication optimization features on the Wyse 3040 Thin Client. Video call results in performance issues. - PCoIP session under Teradici Access Cloud broker does not support audio or video device redirection due to Teradici limitation. - You cannot boot into ThinOS 9.1 when you perform the following operations in BIOS setup: Disable onboard Network Interface Card (NIC), Trusted Platform Module (TPM), or Platform Trust Technology (PTT), or clear TPM or PTT. - You cannot install ThinOS 9.0 application packages on ThinOS 9.1 due to certificate change.
