If you are experiencing any issues, you can manually download and reinstall.iDRAC Service Module (iSM) is a lightweight software service that better integrates operating system (OS) features with iDRAC and can be installed on Dell’s yx5x or later generation of PowerEdge servers. iSM provides OS-related information to the iDRAC and adds capabilities such as LC log event replication into the OS log, WMI support (including storage), iDRAC SNMP alerts via OS, iDRAC hard reset and remote full Power Cycle. iSM automates SupportAssist report collection process for iDRAC leading to faster issue resolution. iSM has very little impact on the host processor and smaller memory footprint than "in-band" agents such as Dell EMC OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA), thus expanding iDRAC management into supported host operating systems.

To download the iSM installer file, complete the following steps:
1. To download the iSM installer file, click Download.
2. To save the installer file to your hard drive, click Save when the file download window appears.
Installation:
1. Extract the zip files to the folder using the command tar -xvzf OM-iSM-*.tar.gz.
2. For interactive installation of desired components, browse to the extracted folder path and run the setup.sh script.
