Dell Update Package Instructions (Preferred)

Download
1. Click Download Now to download the file.
2. When the File Download window appears, click Save to save the file to your hard drive.

Installation
1. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file and double-click the new file.
2. Read over the release information presented in the dialog window.
3. Download and install any prerequisites identified in the dialog window before proceeding.
4. Click the Install button.
5. Follow the remaining prompts to perform the update.

.tar Files Install Instructions:

The driver package is a compressed tar file.

To extract the components within the tar file, un-tar the files: # tar -xvzf

Extracted files should contain the following:
- driver rpm (kmod-mpi3mr-8.14.1.0.0_el9.6-1.x86_64.rpm)
- source code (kmod-mpi3mr-8.14.1.0.0-1.src.rpm)

Updating the Driver:
1. Install the Driver package. Use the command appropriate for your distribution:
RHEL / SLES: rpm -Uvh
Ubuntu: dpkg -i

2. Verify the driver has been loaded with this system command:
# modinfo mpi3mr
