If you already have verion 2.0.0.07311 or greater you don't need this patch. In order to check which version of Dell Support Center you have installed, do the following: - Click on "Start" menu button (lower left hand corner of window) - Click on "All Programs" - Click on "Dell Support Center" - Click on "About Dell Support Center" to display the version
If you have an earlier version than 2.0.0.07311, you will need to remove it first prior to downloading and installing this version. That can be done by:
- Click on "Start" menu button (lower left hand corner of window) - Click on "Control Panel" - Click on "Add\Remove" programs - Select entry for Dell Support Center - Click "Uninstall"

Download
1.Click Download Now, to download the file. 2.When the File Download window appears, click Save (Windows XP users will click Save) this program to disk and click OK. The Save In: window appears. 3.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop. 4.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file icon appears on your desktop.
Install
1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R171755.EXE. 2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R171755. Write down this path so the executable (I.e. DSC20.exe) file can be found later. 3.The Self-Extractor window appears. 4.Click OK. 5.After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor window is still open, click ok 7.The installation should start automatically. If it does not start automatically, run C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R171755\DSC20.exe. 8.Follow the on-screen installation instructions. 9.If you have Vista operating system, during installation, you will see a dialog box come up titled "User Account Control" asking for permission to continue. You will need to click on the "Continue" button to successfully install Dell Support Center. 10. Once installation completes, the application will be launched. Go through the initialization steps to successfully initialize the application. 11. If you have Vista operating system, during the application initialization steps, you will see a dialog box come up titled "User Account Control" asking for permission to continue. You will need to click on the "Continue" button to successfully initialize Dell Support Center.
