The firmware payload supplied in the update package can be applied out-of-band through the iDRAC GUI, or Lifecycle Controller shall also apply the update package.
DUP can also be applied using minimum OS versions Windows 2019 and Redhat 7.6 OS.

1. Do not run other applications while executing the update package
2. Do not AC power cycle or reset the system while the update package is executing
3. Depending on the number of DCPMM devices in the system, the update can take several minutes per DCPMM and the progress bar may not be updated regularly
4. The DUP update varies from a minimum duration of 2 minutes to a maximum duration of 10 minutes

[Recommended] Installation via iDRAC GUI

1. Go to "Maintenance" tab in the iDRAC GUI
2. Navigate to "System Update" tab and upload the DUP package
3. Select the .exe file from the Update Details and select "Install and Reboot"
4. A job queue is created and the system cold resets
5. After the system reset, the DUP update gets staged through the LC

1. Launch Lifecycle controller(LC) during boot
2. Launch "Firmware Update" from LC UI
3. Select FTP server or local drive that hosts the downloaded DUP and launch the update

1. Ensure the date and time settings in the OS are accurate and up to date
2. Double click on the DUP .exe package
3. Once the prompt pops up, hit "Install"
4. Another prompt pops up with the present and new versions of the FW on the devices
5. Click on "Yes" and proceed to the next stage, click on "Yes" again and the system warm reboots
6. On the next run DUP update is staged through the LC
