Fichier exécutable de mise à jour du BIOS pour Windows/DOS

Téléchargement
1. Cliquez sur Download File pour télécharger le fichier.
2. Lorsque la fenêtre File Download apparaît, cliquez sur Save pour enregistrer le fichier sur votre disque dur.

Exécution de l’utilitaire de mise à jour du BIOS à partir d’un environnement Windows
1. Accédez à l’emplacement où vous avez téléchargé le fichier, puis double-cliquez dessus.
2. Une fois la mise à jour du BIOS terminée, le système redémarre automatiquement pour que les modifications prennent effet.

Exécution de l’utilitaire de mise à jour du BIOS à partir d’un environnement DOS (utilisateurs de systèmes autres que Windows)
1. Copiez le fichier téléchargé sur une clé USB de démarrage DOS.
2. Mettez le système sous tension, appuyez sur la touche F12, puis sélectionnez USB Storage Device et l’invite Boot to DOS.
3. Saisissez le nom du fichier téléchargé dans une ligne de commande pour l’exécuter.
4. Une fois la mise à jour du BIOS terminée, le système redémarre automatiquement pour que les modifications prennent effet.

Remarque 1 : Une clé USB de démarrage DOS est nécessaire. Ce fichier exécutable ne crée pas de fichier système DOS.
Remarque 2 : Veillez à suspendre le chiffrement BitLocker avant de mettre à jour le BIOS, si cette fonction est activée sur le système.
Si BitLocker n’est pas activé sur le système, ignorez cette étape.

Updating the BIOS from Windows

Note 1: Before updating the BIOS, ensure that you suspend BitLocker encryption on a BitLocker-enabled system. If BitLocker is not enabled on your system, you can ignore this step. For information about how to disable BitLocker, see How to Enable or Disable BitLocker with TPM in Windows at support.dell.com.
Note 2: Do not turn off power or interrupt the BIOS update process during the update.
Note 3: Your system requires a restart after installing the BIOS. The restart can be deferred but must be completed to ensure that the update is installed.

Download and Installation
1. Click Download File.
2. Click Save to save the file to your hard drive.
3. Browse to the location where you downloaded the file.
4. Double-click the new file.
5. The system restarts automatically and updates the BIOS at the system startup screen. After the BIOS update is complete, system restarts again.

Updating the BIOS from DOS (Non-Windows users)

Installation
Note: You must provide a bootable USB drive. This executable file does not create the DOS system files.
1. Copy the downloaded file to a bootable USB drive.
2. Power on the system and then Press the F12 key.
3. Select USB Storage Device and boot to the DOS prompt.
4. Run the file by typing following command. For example:
A:\ Precision_5530_X.Y.Z.exe
Note: Precision_5530 is an example. You can change the product and model number based on the supported platform.

Where A is the drive letter of the USB device where the executable file is located and Precision_5530_X.Y.Z.exe is the name of the downloaded file.
The system restarts automatically and updates the BIOS at the system startup screen. After the BIOS update is complete, system restarts again.
